Saudi Arabia's NEOM project has entered into a $5 billion agreement with DataVolt to develop a net-zero artificial intelligence (AI) data center within its Oxagon industrial zone. This facility, expected to be operational by 2028, will have a capacity of 1.5 gigawatts and be powered entirely by renewable energy sources. The initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, aiming to diversify the nation's economy and establish it as a regional hub for AI and technological innovation. The data center will support high-performance computing needs and contribute to sustainable industrial growth in the region.
The collaboration aims to position Saudi Arabia as a global hub for AI innovation, leveraging expertise in AI hardware and vast resources. This development underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to becoming a leader in the AI sector
