The Centre for Migration Studies - UG, led by the IDRC Research Chair on Forced Displacement in Anglophone West Africa, Prof. Mary Setrana, invites partners, colleagues and members of the public to join the official launch of the CMS@20 anniversary celebrations.
This launch signals the start of a year-long series of engagements under the theme: Celebrating Migration Scholarship, Partnerships and the Future of Mobility, creating space to reflect on two decades of impact while shaping future discourse on migration and forced displacement.

Supported by the Development Research Centre (IDRC) and hosted at the Centre for Migration Studies - UG, University of Ghana, the Chair exists to strengthen knowledge production, evidence use, and leadership in the Global South on forced displacement, with a focus on Anglophone West Africa.
Working across Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Liberia, the Chair generates evidence-based research, amplifies local voices and advances inclusive and gender-transformative responses to forced displacement.

The Centre for Migration Studies - UG, led by Prof. Mary Boatemaa Setrana, IDRC Research Chair on Forced Displacement in Anglophone West Africa and Director of the Centre, will later this January launch its 20th Anniversary celebrations.
The launch will kick off a year-long programme highlighting two decades of excellence in migration scholarship, policy engagement and transformative partnerships.
