Kiddie Islam:
Daddies and Mummies, hope our young ones are learning some lessons from Yusuf’s story. May Allah guide them and us onto the straight path. Today, we continue with the beautiful story of Yusuf (Joseph).
Part 8: Yusuf explains the king’s dream.
Summoned from prison, Yusuf stood before the king, who recounted his dream of the seven fat cows devoured by seven lean cows and the seven green ears of corn eaten by seven dry ears. The king sought an interpretation, and Yusuf, guided by God, explained that the dream signified seven years of plenty followed by seven years of famine. He advised the king to prepare by storing grains during the years of plenty to sustain the kingdom during the years of famine.
Impressed by Yusuf's wisdom and insight, the king appointed him as the keeper of the storehouses and entrusted him with the task of managing the kingdom's provisions.
Yusuf's tenure as the keeper of the storehouses was marked by his efficient management, foresight, and compassion. He distributed food fairly during the years of famine, ensuring that no one went hungry.
Lessons from Yusuf's story:
Lesson 1: Wisdom and Planning Yusuf's interpretation of the king's dream and his advice to prepare for the future demonstrate the importance of wisdom and planning for the future.
Lesson 2: Fairness and Compassion Yusuf's fair distribution of food during the famine reflects the values of fairness and compassion, showing us the importance of caring for others in need.

Kiddie Islam:
Daddies and Mummies, lets continue enjoying Yussif’s (Joseph) story at bedtime with our young ones.
Part 7: Yusuf’s Special Talent
Yusuf's reputation for interpreting dreams spread throughout the prison. One day, two of his fellow prisoners, a cupbearer and a baker who served the king, approached him with troubled looks. Each had dreamt a puzzling dream and believed that Yusuf could unravel its meaning.
The cupbearer recounted his dream of pressing grapes into a cup for the king, while the baker described his dream of birds eating bread from his head. Yusuf, blessed with the gift of dream interpretation, explained that the cupbearer would be reinstated in the king's service, while the baker would face a less fortunate fate.
True to Yusuf's interpretation, the cupbearer was released and returned to the king's service. However, in his excitement, he forgot to mention Yusuf to the king.
Time passed, and the king himself had a perplexing dream. He dreamt of seven fat cows being devoured by seven lean cows and seven green ears of corn consumed by seven dry ears. The king was troubled and sought an explanation.
The cupbearer remembered Yusuf's gift and informed the king. Intrigued, the king summoned Yusuf from prison to interpret his dream.
Lessons from Yusuf's story:
Lessons: 1. Patience and Trust in God's Plan Despite being forgotten by the cupbearer, Yusuf remained patient and continued to trust in God's plan for him.
2. Using Your Talents for Good Yusuf used his gift of dream interpretation to help others, showcasing the importance of using our talents for the benefit of others.
