Ayisatu Owen Schools Welcome to the official Ayisatu Owen International School page! The aim is to strengthen all the talents of a child. Most teachers hold degrees or diplomas.

The Ayisatu Owen International School is a private, non-denominational basic school devoted to the well-rounded development of children. The school has 400 pupils in day nursery, kindergarten, primary and junior high. The school motto is β€œdeeper understanding.”

The Ayi School helps pupils to master indigenous knowledge (in Asante Twi) and to master the English language for science, mathematics and information technology (IT). The school classroom blocks are β€œhot spots” from broadband WiFi. Teachers and students access the internet to stream multi-media content. Ayi International encourages love of learning as well as the learning of a subject itself. The library, labs and student clubs encourage inquisitiveness. Students take responsibility for their learning. Reading in Twi dominates kindergarten with a transition to reading in English in lower primary. They act as coaches and avoid using fear to produce results. Primary class size averages 25 pupils per teacher. There are 35 teachers and support staff.

Learning beyond the classroom walls 🌍✨
Our pupils embarked on an exciting two-day educational trip to Red Clay Studio in Tamale, exploring creativity, culture, and history through a unique learning experience. Along the way, we made a memorable stop at the beautiful Kintampo Waterfalls, allowing our learners to appreciate the beauty of nature.
It was a journey filled with discovery, fun, and unforgettable moments.

A simple experimentπŸ§ͺ that helps children learn about atmospheric pressure 🧫 using everyday materials.

Materials: Plate, candle, matches, old glass bottle, water, and food colour.

A candle heats the air inside the bottle. When the flame goes out, the air cools and the pressure inside drops. The higher air pressure outside then pushes the coloured water up into the bottle.πŸ’₯

A fun, low cost activity that helps children understand atmospheric pressure. πŸ’œπŸ’œ

Highlights from our Basic 6 Research Drive Presentation πŸ“šβœ¨ Our pupils turned learning into action through presentations on fire outbreaks and safety measures, bee keeping and starting a beehive, drones and their uses, The Life of Jerry John Rawlings, and the beauty of the Hogbetsotso Festival and its dance.

The presentations came alive through beautiful costumes, role play, and dramatization, making learning exciting, engaging, and memorable. πŸ‘
