ANOTHER 'FIASSEC' WIN: The maiden edition of the Inter Tertiary Excellence Awards (iTEA) organized by Showbiz Ghana Network came to life on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons, Orchid auditorium in Accra and Mr. Joshua Bart Mintah, a past student of FIASSEC and the former Prep Prefect for 2013/2014 Academic year was adjudged the Graphic Designer of the Year.

On behalf of everyone here, we say a very big congratulations to you, Joshua. This is a stepping stone to greatness.

The maiden edition of the Inter Tertiary Excellence Awards (iTEA) organized by Showbiz Ghana Network came to life on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons, Orchid auditorium in Accra and Mr. Abraham Ahianyo, a past student of FIASSEC and Foso College of Education, was adjudged the Best Teacher Trainee of the year in the Academic Category.

On behalf of everyone here, we say a very big congratulations to you, Abraham. This is a stepping stone to greatness. More wins await you, sir!

A GHANAIAN BORN US ARMY, DENNIS DUKU VISITS ALMA MATA

It was all JOY at Dadwen school at Nsuta, near TARKWA when Dennis Duku alias Duku Pc, with a group of his colleagues from USA ARMY paid a visit to his Alma mata to donate educational materials valuing tens of thousands of US dollars to over 300 pupils of the school"s nursery and lower primary.

The whole compound got electrified when the visiting US ARMY TEAM entered the school together with the Municipal Chief Executive of Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality , Honourable Gilbert Ken Asmah, the special aide to the group and a classmate of Dennis Duku, Kofi Nimako Danquah, Yvonne Mensah, kwadwo Safo, a Facebook pal Peter Tawiah and a host of his mates and some childhood friends.

In an exclusive interview with Dennis Duku he said he always dream of visiting his grassroots and give back the benefit he got from the school and also revealed that he will come back before the year ends to visit and donate items to his former Secondary school , FIASEMAN SHS in TARKWA .
He pledged a hundred bags of cement for the school project which is ongoing and also promised the school with some computers in his next visit next Year.
The Headmaster and the entire Staff of the school were glad to meet the team and thanked him for his kind gestures, but like OLIVER TWIST, asked for more of such gestures

The caterers and other traders at the school canteen were not left out of his magnanimity, he took took time and chatted with them and with nostalgia remembered his youthfully days at the canteen which a trader said he was really a " SOLDIER" those days.

In another development the Municipal Chief Executive , Honourable Gilbert Ken Asmah revealed that the Government in the nearest future will lift the ban on small scale Mining to enable the legal miners to work and also mentioned to the US ARMY team that the Akyempim - Ahwetiaso road is under construction and hope in their next visit , the road would have been asphalted , this came up when the US ARMY and their Ghanaian counterparts paid a courtesy call on him at his office and lamented on the stretched which according to them it took them more hours to travel from Ahwetiaso to TARKWA than it took them to travel from TAKORADI to AHWETIASO.

The entire US ARMY team who paid the visit PRAISED Honourable Gilbert Ken Asmah, whom according to them was being monitoring months back , for his hard and impressive work to improve the living standards of the Municipality and promised their unflinching support for him . They also promised to liaise with him regularly to know the areas of development they can in their small way ASSIST.
