The University for Development Studies has officially oriented over 6,000 students ahead of the deployment of 11,498 students to 1,150 communities across Ghana under the Third Trimester Field Practical Programme (TTFPP) and Community-Based Education and Service initiative.
Held at St. John Bosco College of Education in Navrongo, the orientation brought together University Management, development partners, education stakeholders, and students in preparation for another impactful trimester of community engagement and practical learning.
Addressing the students, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Seidu Al-hassan, described TTFPP as the flagship programme that distinguishes UDS by connecting academic knowledge with real community development.
This year’s programme is being strengthened through partnerships with UNICEF, OR Foundation, and Morehouse College, with opportunities for outstanding student projects to receive support and recognition.
As students move from lecture halls into communities, UDS once again reaffirms its commitment to “Knowledge for Service.”

The University for Development Studies (UDS) continues to strengthen the Third Trimester Field Practical Programme (TTFPP) through strategic global and institutional partnerships.
The University’s collaborations with UNICEF and OR Foundation are helping to deepen community engagement, practical learning and sustainable development, while Morehouse University College is supporting innovation by funding the best TTFPP student project proposal with a grant of US$10,000.

A distinguished Professor of Mathematics with decades of experience in academia, research, and leadership, Prof. Muniru is no stranger to impact.
