Sierra Leonean Artists Arrive in Ghana for Collaborative Music Exchange Program
A delegation of talented musicians from Sierra Leone has arrived in Ghana to participate in an international creative exchange running from June 11 to June 21, 2026. The cultural initiative, organized in partnership with the Bizung School of Music in Tamale, features collaborative workshops, professional recording sessions, and a live performance, bringing together regional artists from both nations.
Funded by the European Union and the Playing For Change Foundation, the project aims to facilitate skill-sharing and professional development between musicians from different creative and cultural backgrounds. The Sierra Leonean contingent includes independent singer and songwriter Rosaline Iyabode Johnson (popularly known as Iyabode), alongside prominent musicians from the Ballanta Academy of Music and Performing Arts (BAMPA), David Solomon Koroma (known as Double King), and Musa Sam Ganda. The ten-day regional itinerary will conclude with a joint showcase performance in Tamale.
