....... and may the new month of February be good to us!!
everybody has a part to play in educating a child..... don't think it's the exclusive work of the teachers and so when things go wrong all the blame should be heaped on them.

Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor has been tasked by H.E, the President to exercise oversight responsibility over the Trade & Industry Ministry as a caretaker minister with effect from 16th January, 2023 as Hon. Alan Kyeremanteng, the substantive minister, finally bows out officially that day following his last week resignation to contest the upcoming NPP presidential primaries later this year.
It would be recalled that initial communication from the presidency last week indicated that the beleaguered finance minister was appointed for that role. It's however not clear yet why that sudden change.....wish you well Hon. Jinapor!

The new Pishigu Senior High School project so far.......
In fact, Dr. Adam Mohammed Amin Anta has taken the Karaga constituency to levels upon levels of development in record time of about some three years......π
His tenure as an MP there promises unequivocally to be a true reflection of his party's (NPP's) motto of "Development In Freedom"

..... and the NDC minority in parliament is saying what? That this gentle man should resign his position as finance minister?...... Hmmm! nothing smacks of propaganda or can be more mischievous than this!
If I am not to mince words, there isn't anything more ridiculously ridiculous about this ill-motivated campaign for his resignation than their claim that Mr. Ken Ofori Atta, as finance minister, is to blame for the current prevailing temporal economic difficulties in the country. My goodness!! Are they sincere at all about that charge against him? Or it's the usual cheap politicking they are generally noted for?
Look! You can be a spin doctor of whatever standing, I don't think you can lie convincingly under the circumstances to get any rational human being into thinking or believing that these prevailing economic challenges are a fall out of the finance minister's actions or inactions. Far from it!!!
In fact, I don't want to belabor the point......we all know how we got here except that for political expediency, some of us may want to play ostrich like the umbrella ποΈ fraternity in Ghana here are doing. Or if you want to feign ignorance about the fact that it's a global issue, how come all economies worldwide are struggling now and can not boast of the robustness they used to enjoy prior to the COVID-19 and later, the Russia-Ukrain war period?
For me, that call lacks merit.....it's b***d out of the sheer hatred they have for him since he became minister for that sector in 2017. I equally see it as another back door tool they are using to implicitly indict Nana Addo and his entire government for this unfortunate situation we have found ourselves in as a nation. So let's look sharp!
.... and quite interestingly, it has even been reported in the news that the NDC have taken this their long standing anti-Ken Ofori Atta campaign a notch higher by instructing their MPs to collect signatures now, something the minority MPs have even started already, so that they can start a vote of censure process in parliament against him. What that process seeks to achieve, is to remove him from office if he doesn't resign. What a wishful thinking!π€£π€£.... that's a big joke because they don't have such numbers as two-thirds of all the MPs in parliament by which they can constitutionally get it through.

...... and His Excellency Vice President Dr Mahamud Bawumia vindicated againπ
Records at Ghana Immigration Service and Ghana Airport Company indicate that Ghana card has been in use as an E-passport since January this year.
So wherein lies the contradiction between Dr.Bawumia's much villified claim and the reality?
It will be recalled that last month, his detractors were all over the place and at their wits ends trying so hard to malign his integrity by erroneously claiming that the Foreign Minister's response in parliament to a question on whether Ghana card is an E-passport contradicted the Vice President's long held position that the Ghana card is an E-passport.
Facts are sacred!!

Hmmm! These days, politics in Ghana has become something else ooo! For some people, If they're not in government nothing should work well in this country .
Common commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the passing of one of the deceased Presidents of this republic, former President Professor Atta Mills who incidentally is the first sitting president to die in office and NDC, for reasons best known to them, refused to join government so that the nation could observe such a solemn occasion together as a national event? My goodness!!
Must we continue, at the least opportunity, seek to deepen the animosity within the political environment and continue to polarize the nation all because we want to achieve political relevance? In fact, there's too much pettiness in Ghana's politics that it's becoming something else in the view of some of us.
Abaaa! Two separate events for one singular purpose, at the same venue, on the same day by our political leaders who should have for once, united around that one event? In other words, former President Mahama and his people waited for the official commemoration ceremony led by the president to be over at the park and he also entered there with his people for their separate version of the program π€£ And do you know the reason?
it's all because;
1. they think being seen by Ghanaians to be doing things together with government may not work to their advantage politically and so creating these unnecessary controversies may do the trick for them.
2. another possible reason is that they want to divert the attention of Ghanaians from the credit that could come to President Akufo Addo and his government for renovating the Asomdwee Park (the burial place of the former President) and for making that event a national one.
In fact, in all of this, it's quite ironical if not paradoxical having to celebrate the memory of a man we all claim to be a man of peace in his life time in that atmosphere of rancour and division largely orchestrated by his own political family.
Rest in peace Prof. Mills.
