Is yet another great weekend, where children are taken through local games that promote learning in literacy and numeracy. Supplemental learning is an initiative by Child Learning for Development to help children with learning difficulties.

Is yet another week of engaging children to improve their literacy and numeracy skills during our supplemental learning activities by our community volunteers at Gushei in the Savelugu municipality.

The 2-day training for our community volunteers has to come to an end today at Radach Lodge & Conference centre here in Tamale. The volunteers were drawn from Tolono, Kumbungu and Savelugu.

Community volunteers of Child Learning for Development, currently undergoing a 2- day of training at Radach Lodge and conference centre on how to improve supplemental learning activities in the communities.

Today, Child Learning for Development had the opportunity to host our parents from Canada at Tibung in the Kumbungu district of the northern region. This was for them to familiarise themselves with our supplemental learning project and also interact with the children.

Earlier this morning, our partner in the supplemental learning project, Right To Play Ghana officially handed over three tricycles to us. This is to help improve the supplemental learning activities in Tolon, Kumbungu and Savelugu.

It was a great pleasure having these people around Cherifoyili in the Tolon district to have first-hand information on how our volunteers conduct supplemental learning for children in the community. Basic schools are on break, but learning is not on break for these children.

Our coordinator for Kumbungu district, Abdulai Anysas Ibrahim, had a successful meeting with our volunteers at Dalun. On way to improve our supplemental learning activities in the communities.
