Team STMA Pays Courtesy Call on STMA Mayor

The Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Education Directorate’s Sports Team paid a courtesy call on the Mayor of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA) to officially present the trophies won at the 2026 Western Regional Inter-District Sports Festival held in Tarkwa.

The team briefed the Mayor on their outstanding achievement of emerging Overall Champions, having won three Gold trophies and two Bronze trophies. They also expressed appreciation for the support received from stakeholders throughout the competition.

During the visit, the team officially informed the Mayor that the 2027 Western Regional Inter-District Sports Festival will be hosted at the Essipon Sports Stadium in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis, presenting an exciting opportunity for STMA to welcome participating districts from across the Western Region.

The Mayor congratulated Team STMA on their remarkable achievement and reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to supporting sports development and youth empowerment in the Metropolis.
