TTU Innovation Hub Partners STMA to Empower Young Agripreneurs
The TTU Innovation Hub, through its Young Agripreneurs Forum (YAF), has teamed up with the STMA Agric Department to manage the demonstration farms under the Twin City Sustainable Project.
Under the agreement, YAF members will serve as managers of the farm space, providing student labour to ensure sustainability. They’ll also cultivate vegetable plots as an income-generating venture. Revenue from the produce will be split; with part to compensate members, and part to fund YAF’s campus programs and activities.
The partnership creates mutual benefits for STMA, YAF students, and TTU as a whole. It also reinforces TTU’s commitment to grooming young agripreneurs and positioning agriculture as a viable career pathway; a vision nurtured through TTU’s collaboration with KIC since 2023.
