Congratulations to the Graduating Class of 2026

On behalf of Management, Staff, and the entire Salaga Senior High School community, I extend our warmest congratulations to each and every one of you on the successful completion of your Senior High School education.

Today marks the end of one important chapter and the beginning of another exciting journey in your lives. Your graduation is a testament to your resilience, determination, hard work, and commitment over the years. The sleepless nights spent studying, the challenges you overcame, the sacrifices you made, and the perseverance you demonstrated have all culminated in this remarkable achievement. You have every reason to be proud of yourselves.

As you step into the next phase of your lives, whether in higher education, vocational training, entrepreneurship, or the world of work, always remember that your potential is limitless. Never allow your current circumstances, background, or temporary setbacks to determine how far you can go. Great achievements are often born out of difficult beginnings. Believe in yourselves, remain focused on your goals, and continue striving for excellence in all that you do.

As alumni of Salaga Senior High School, you should always remember that the school has become an inseparable part of your life story. The experiences, lessons, friendships, successes, and even the challenges you encountered here have all contributed to shaping the individuals you are today.

Some of you may have experienced difficult moments during your stay in the school. Perhaps you felt misunderstood by a teacher, disagreed with a fellow student, or struggled with certain aspects of the system. While such experiences may not have been pleasant, it is important to understand that the primary objective of every educational institution is to prepare students for the realities and demands of life beyond its walls. The lessons learned through both positive and difficult experiences often become the foundation for future growth, maturity, and success.

Therefore, I encourage you never to turn your backs on your alma mater. Continue to identify proudly with Salaga Senior High School wherever you find yourselves. Speak positively about the school, defend its image whenever necessary, and contribute in any way possible toward its development. Whether through your ideas, expertise, resources, mentorship, or future achievements, your support will play a significant role in helping the school grow and maintain its proud tradition of excellence.

You are now ambassadors of Salaga Senior High School. Wherever life takes you, remember that your conduct, character, and achievements will reflect not only on yourselves and your families but also on the institution that helped shape you. Let integrity, discipline, humility, and hard work be your guiding principles. Aspire to become leaders, innovators, professionals, and responsible citizens who will make meaningful contributions to society.

To those who have travelled long distances to reunite with your families and loved ones, we sincerely hope that you arrived safely at your respective destinations. As you spend time at home, continue to support and appreciate your parents, guardians, and all those who have contributed to your educational journey. Their sacrifices and encouragement have played a significant role in helping you reach this milestone.

As you join the growing family of the Salaga Senior Secondary School Old Students Association (SSOSA), we welcome you warmly and look forward to your active participation in the affairs of the association and the continued development of the school.

Once again, congratulations to the graduating Class of 2026. May your future be filled with success, purpose, fulfilment, and endless opportunities. We are proud of you, we believe in you, and we look forward to celebrating your many accomplishments in the years ahead.

Go forth with confidence, pursue your dreams relentlessly, and continue to make Salaga Senior High School proud.

Congratulations, SSOSA Class of 2026!

A Tribute to Hon. Mustapha Ussif: A Distinguished Son of Salaga Senior High School

As Salaga Senior High School (SASS) gears up for its historic 50th Anniversary Golden Jubilee, it is only fitting to celebrate the remarkable journey of one of its most illustrious alumni, Hon. Mustapha Ussif.
A proud member of the Class of 1996, Hon. Mustapha Ussif embodies the values of discipline, perseverance, and service that SASS has instilled in its students for five decades. His journey from the classrooms of Salaga to the highest corridors of national governance serves as a powerful inspiration to the current generation of students.

Hon. Mustapha Ussif’s career is a testament to his dedication to the development of Ghana. His leadership has left an indelible mark across various sectors:
As the representative for the Yagaba-Kubori Constituency in the North East Region, he has been a vocal advocate for rural development and the empowerment of his constituents.
His tenure as the Executive Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS) saw significant reforms aimed at digitizing operations and improving the welfare of personnel across the country.

In his role as the Minister for Youth and Sports, he has championed the growth of Ghanaian athletics and the development of modern sporting infrastructure, most notably during the hosting of the 13th African Games.

For the SASS community, Hon. Mustapha Ussif is more than a statesman; he is a "Great Senior" who has never forgotten his roots. His success story is a central part of the SASS narrative, proving that with the foundation provided by this great institution, there are no limits to what one can achieve.
As we celebrate SASS@50, we honor Hon. Mustapha Ussif for his unwavering commitment to excellence and his role as a distinguished ambassador for the school. His life’s work continues to bring honor to the yellow and green colors of Salaga Senior High School.
"The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, but they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night."

Long live Hon. Mustapha Ussif!

Long live Salaga Senior High School!
