CELEBRATING AN ILLUSTRIOUS OLD STUDENT OF 1983

As the Headmaster of Salaga Senior High School, I am delighted to announce an important and timely intervention towards improving the health and welfare infrastructure of our dear school.

Dr. Tanko Abdul Samed, the Chief Executive Officer of the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) and a distinguished old student of Salaga Senior High School, Class of 1983, has commenced the renovation of the school's sick bay as part of his contribution towards the development of his alma mater.

This intervention comes at a particularly significant time in the history of our school as we prepare to commemorate our 50th Anniversary. The celebration of fifty years of Salaga Senior High School provides us not only with an opportunity to reflect on our remarkable journey and achievements, but also to invest in projects that will shape the future of the school and improve the welfare of generations of students to come.

The ongoing renovation will involve the complete modernisation of the school's sick bay and its transformation into a modern, well-equipped health facility capable of providing improved healthcare services to our students and staff. Upon completion, the facility is expected to be furnished with the relevant medical equipment and other essential resources required to support the effective delivery of basic healthcare services.

The availability of a modern and functional health facility on campus is of immense importance to a school of our size. The health and wellbeing of our students remain a major priority, as good health is fundamental to effective teaching and learning. The modernisation of the sick bay will therefore contribute significantly to providing prompt attention and care to students and staff who may require medical assistance while on campus.

On behalf of the Management, Board of Governors, Staff, Students, Parent Association, Old Students and the entire Salaga Senior High School community, I wish to express our profound appreciation to Dr. Tanko Abdul Samed for this generous and commendable intervention. His decision to give back to his alma mater demonstrates a deep sense of commitment, gratitude and responsibility towards the institution that contributed to his educational journey.

We are particularly proud of the achievements of Dr. Tanko Abdul Samed and other distinguished old students of Salaga Senior High School who continue to remember the school and contribute meaningfully towards its growth and development. Their support serves as an inspiration to our current students and demonstrates the enduring bond between Salaga Senior High School and its alumni.

As we journey towards the celebration of our Golden Jubilee, we call on all old students, stakeholders, friends and well-wishers of Salaga Senior High School to emulate this remarkable gesture by supporting the various developmental projects being undertaken in the school.

We assure Dr. Tanko Abdul Samed and all our stakeholders that Management remains committed to ensuring that every intervention received by the school is properly utilised for the benefit of our students and the continued progress of Salaga Senior High School.

Once again, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Tanko Abdul Samed, CEO of UGMC and proud member of the Class of 1983, for beginning this important project to renovate and modernise our school's sick bay.

May his generosity and commitment to the development of Salaga Senior High School inspire others to support the continued transformation of our great institution as we celebrate fifty years of excellence, service and progress.

Long live Salaga Senior High School!
Long live SSOSA!

The intervention is aimed at transforming the existing facility into an ultra-modern health centre capable of providing improved healthcare services to students and staff.

When completed, the facility will significantly improve access to basic medical care for students and staff and contribute to the overall health and wellbeing of members of the school community.

This intervention is particularly important at a time when Salaga Senior High School is working tirelessly to improve its infrastructure in preparation for the celebration of its Golden Jubilee. Dr. Tanko Abdul Samed's contribution demonstrates that the relationship between an old student and his alma mater does not end after graduation. His commitment to supporting the development of the school is a shining example worthy of emulation by all past and present students.

HON. HAJIA ZUWERA IBRAHIM – MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT FOR SALAGA SOUTH CONSTITUENCY

The school also extends its profound appreciation to Hon. Hajia Zuwera Ibrahim, the Member of Parliament for the Salaga South Constituency, for her immense contribution towards improving infrastructure and promoting the welfare of students.

Hon. Hajia Zuwera Ibrahim has commenced the renovation of the school's dining hall, including the kitchen facility. This important intervention will improve the environment in which our students are served and take their meals.

The dining hall is an essential facility in any boarding school, and its improvement has a direct impact on the welfare, health and dignity of students. The intervention by Hon. Hajia Zuwera Ibrahim is therefore a timely and highly commendable contribution to the development of Salaga Senior High School.

Her commitment to supporting the school once again demonstrates the importance of collaboration between educational institutions, political leaders and other stakeholders in promoting quality education and improving the conditions under which students learn and live.

The Management, Board of Governors, Staff, Students, Old Students and the entire Salaga Senior High School community extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Tanko Abdul Samed and Hon. Hajia Zuwera Ibrahim for their immense support and commitment to the development of our dear school.
