Hmmm Covid-19 Lessons...

TYPE IT DOWN AND SAVE IT UP
(COVID-19 Lessons 8)

A long time ago, God instructed Moses to write something down...

"Then the LORD told Moses, “Write this in a book as a memorial and recite it to Joshua: ‘I’ll certainly wipe out the memory of the Amalekites from under heaven.’”_ Exod 17:14

That was the first time God ever instructed man to write..... It was about the first war victory of the children of
Israel over Amalek.

Writing is very good for us. For instance, in order to effectively shape our vision clearly, we need to
write it down. Writing things down gives us a lot of advantages: Historical documentation, ability to make corrections, ability to regulate and evaluate our thoughts, achievements and failures.

But if God were to give that instruction to Moses these days, I strongly believe it would be
TYPE IT DOWN AND SAVE IT UP!

Yes. Writing something down is very good. But the world is now changing so fast... When you write everything down, you will have to carry so many things when you are moving... Your diaries, jotters notebooks, etc. The challenge is that as you keep on growing, those things become too many.
I decided to stop using and carrying diaries and notebooks around since 2006 but I've never regretted doing that. How can a pastor move around without church diaries? How will you be able to keep yourself abreast with church info, God's word and personal messages? Well my answer is very simple. I type them down. I save them up. Instead of writing in notebooks and diaries, I type them on my phone or laptop. I save them on the devices and then upload them to Google drive or Dropbox.

Just as the first time God instructed man to write was about victory, I strongly believe that we are going to win victory over covid-19 very soon. But before then, I think you need to learn some skill at home which will be very beneficial after the COVID-19 war. That skill is about upgrading your writing skills to the level where you will be able to type down everything, save it and upload to a cloud drive where you can retrieve and make good use of it.

So from now, begin to learn how to type every important thing down and save it up.

.. To be continued

REST IN PEACE OSOFO KOBINA BREMANSU
(My Personal Tribute)

Wonderful and genuine Tributes are pouring in
Both mighty men and devout
women are weeping and wailing
Great people from all
works of life are gathered
Gathered because a great man
and a perfect gentleman
is gone for good.
Why a paradox!
The man's name is Bremansu,
meaning, "Man shouldn't cry"
But today men are literally crying!
Crying because one great,
faithful kigdom-minded man
One great father and family man
One great hardworking Pastor
Yes one great helpful husband
One great loyal friend of both
great and small
And one great citizen is gone!
Gone to inherit his permanent
abode in heaven.
Having served 10 stations
and at his 11th station
as a pastor of our great church,
We were expecting to meet at his farewell service in few years time
to give thanks to God for his meritorious service to God,
church and humanity,
But here we are
Weeping and wailing
Fare thee well.
Fare thee well.
And till we meet again,
Rest in peace.

OPEN LETTER TO EVANGELIST SURO NYAME (Final Part)
By Pastor William Boachie-Ansah
Text: Philemon 1:4-6
I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers, hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints, THAT THE SHARING OF YOUR FAITH MAY BECOME EFFECTIVE by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

Dear Evangelist Suro Nyame,
I couldn’t post all the things the Lord laid on my heart to tell you yesterday. I’m posting the final part with the hope that you will soberly reflect on your ministry in line with some of the things I am going to tell you. I don’t have any other motive for writing this letter to you apart from what I have clearly stated: THAT THE SHARING OF YOUR FAITH MAY BECOME EFFECTIVE. Although you are doing quite well, I strongly believe there is more room for improvement if you get yourself closer to people who can help you to sharpen your skills.

5. Avoid Social Media Beefs
Evangelist, please, avoid beefs! You need to focus strongly on your main line calling, not replying to criticisms on social media. The last video I watched, you were negatively jabbing Agradaa for daring to suggest to you not rush in ministry. What will you gain for spending much time on social media, granting interviews just to insult people for criticizing you? Those people will also send their dogs to reply back, so please, don't trail on such unnecessarily dangerous paths.

6. Protect the identity of your new converts
This issue is very important. For some of your converts, you don't have to show their faces on social media for now. Help them to grow in the Lord, get something better to do with their own lives until they are firmly grounded in the Lord. There was a time I won 5 die-hard criminals who were also Rastafarians. I showcased them during a rally while they were still attending new converts class. Before I realised, some members of their old gang managed to sn**ch three of them back. They deliberately hunted them back with goodies until they renounced Christianity. In fact there was a time

I had to stop some converts from another faith from attending main church services when I heard some people had been hired to come and kill them inside my church for renouncing the religion of their fathers. It took the grace of God and the assistance of some good friends who offered to move him and his two friends out of town, got some jobs for them to be able to live independent lives.

7. Change your perception that ghetto people do bad things just because they need food for survival
There is more to ghetto life than what you are preaching about. You've been saying that the boys and girls in ghettos engage in criminal activities just because they need something to buy food... Just in order to survive, hence your solution is that churches should release their funds to provide food for ghettos and they will stop their criminal activities. Let me be frank with you here: that perception is wrong.

There are many people in the ghettos who are hard-working enough to earn decent living. Some people come from rich families, yet they ran away from home to live in ghettos. There are many people out there who don't engage in any criminal activities but they are there.

In fact there was a day I got very much surprised in a ghetto. I went there with my boys and a big man driving a big Ford vehicle came. He was not happy to see me preaching while the guys had stopped everything and were giving me much attention. From his dressing, name and demeanor, he was very religious, though not a Christian. They had to quickly introduce me to him as one of their friend pastors who had been feeding them. It was then that I got to know he was the owner of the ramshackled facility. He distributed cash to all the guys who numbered about 50 and drove off.

If you want to have a deeper insight into why people live in ghettos, please contact Home and Urban Missions (HUM), a ministry of the Church of Pentecost for properly researched materials on ghettos. This will help you to avoid making wrong statements about the ghettos.

8. Avoid Suggesting what Pastors should wear
Finally, in one of the videos, I heard you talking against pastors wearing cassocks, and suggesting that they should wear simple jeans and t-shirts in order to be able to vibe well with the youth. Well you are entitled to your opinions as to what you'll want to wear but don't speak for all the youth in this matter. Should all Pastors wear dreadlocks just because we want ghetto guys to vibe well with us? No. Every job is governed by ethics and the ministers official dressing is the cassocks and clerical shirts. Those of us who go to the ghettos don't go in cassocks, and that may also explain why many people don't know that pastors go there to preach.

There are certain programs and places you can't go as a minister without such dressing. If you hit hard against us, one day you'll find yourself in such dressing and the same public who are hailing you today are the very people who will brand you as a hypocrite.

Finally, let me remind you again that the purpose of this admonition, is not to seek attention for anything. I only want to see you being more effective as an Evangelist. You may decide to adhere to these to improve yourself, or choose to follow social media people for trends which may not impact positively upon your ministry. Draw closer to pastors. It will do you more good than harm. I wish you well.
God bless you.
Stay blessed.

NEW MONTH, NEW WEEK, NEW DAY

Your new beginning isn't random; it's orchestrated. Every step, even the waiting months between, serves a purpose. The same good hand guiding Ezra is upon you today. Don't despise the process or the timeline—God's hand is fashioning your arrival even as you journey. Step forward with confidence.

In this month of May, your appointed arrival is coming. Walk in faith.
Happy birthday to all May Borns.
Stay blessed.
