What a historic and heartwarming day as the College of Nursing and Midwifery, Mampong - Ashanti, celebrates its first-ever graduation ceremony since its inception in 1954.
In a powerful address, the Principal, Mrs. Hellen Gifty Dwamena Amoah (FWAPCNM, FGCNM) captured the spirit of the day and the significance of this milestone:
“Graduates, you are making history. You are the first to have a formal graduation, the foundation, and the torchbearers for generations to come.”
She emphasized the relevance of academic excellence in the 4th Industrial Revolution, where healthcare is being transformed by AI, robotics, telemedicine, and digital health—but still requires the irreplaceable human touch.
Why Academic Excellence is the Key to Success:

Outstanding achievements were also celebrated:
“I am pleased to announce that our students have recorded outstanding results in both KNUST affiliation examination and the N&MC Licensure Examinations.”
A total of 349 students graduated, with 105 of them earning distinction across the RGN, RM, and RNAC programmes. These students have “distinguished themselves with outstanding performances” and are true role models for future classes.
The Principal concluded that “Today, you leave as graduates, but your journey has only just begun. May it be filled with successes, impact and purpose. The world needs excellent nurses and midwives—go and be the best!”
