16th Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference of the Ghana Institute of Horticulturists (GhIH)

This prestigious event of the Institute which typically attracts Agricultural Scientists and industrial stakeholders from all over Ghana and beyond is scheduled as follows:

Theme: “Promoting Horticultural Productivity, Consumption and Revenue in a Globally Changing Climate”.
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Edward Yeboah, CSIR- Soil Research Institute, Kwadaso, Kumasi.
Date: 15-16th September, 2016
Conference Fee: GHc120
Venue: Centre for Innovative Learning, Mango Road, KNUST, Ksi.

The goal is to foster the exchange of ideas and recent findings on the practical applications of scientific research within a diverse group of scientists and industrialists in horticulture.

The conference will deliberate on a wide range of issues aimed at accelerating the growth of the horticultural industry in Ghana.

It is with much regret that I announce the sudden passing away of Prof. J.C. Norman, Fellow and Life Patron of Ghana Institute of Horticulturists. He was 77yrs.

Funeral arrangements are as follows: Burial Service on Friday, 24th June, 2016 at Accra Ridge Church at 9:00am.

With a heavy heart I announce the passing away of Prof. PY Boateng. Prof. PY Boateng was a father to us all both at d dept. and the inatitute. His insight n rich knowledge helped groom this institute n modeled us to what we are now. My heart cries out with pain, we have lost a great asset that can never be replaced. GhIH has lost a giant n a Fellow, the dept of Horticulture has lost a friend n a father. Take heart n be strong ny dear horticulturist, GhIH n the entire family. God be with Yaw as Mr PY Adjei usually calls you.
