Learning Support Solutions organized a STEM trip for Form Three, from Kotobabi 13 JHS, at the Accra Planetarium, on 24th June this year. They watched an interesting film on the Solar System, and had a discussion on time differences, changing weather patterns, and also the feasibility of starting an Astronomy Club at school. Dr Jacob Ashong, the Director, also discussed the importance of mathematics in school, and spoke about various websites that would be of interest to them, such as Khan Academy. Thank you very much, Accra Planetarium!
Thank you so much....I've been told that I now have 300 Likes for the LSS page! It has been kind of rough working on the NGO as well as keeping social media up to date (And I admit I don't always do the latter...............). Schools are closed now because of Covid19 but we will be in touch when things 'normalize'. Thanks again!!!!!

In spite of our turning up late (due to an overturned oil tanker lying nearly across the route to school at a major traffic light junction) we all (fifty-five Junior High School students and two teachers, and one LSS representative) arrived at the offices of Citi FM in Accra on 5th February 2020 for a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) visit. We had a mightily interesting time. We learnt about protocols in reporting, different presentation modes, including green screen technology, visited an almost-ready morning news TV set. And there were a number of question and answer sessions at each point of interest we arrived at. Very many thanks to Jen, Abigail and especially Philip, as well as those behind the scenes. We had a great time. And afterwards, there were cold drinks for everyone!!!😄 (Overhead from a student: you mean, we can have more than just one?? #) We had an instructive and enjoyable time, guys. Very very many thanks, Citi FM.
