The KNUST School of Veterinary Medicine has secured a $75,000 grant to strengthen training in veterinary parasitology across West Africa.
This initiative will build capacity in genomics, epidemiology, and molecular diagnostics, contributing to improved surveillance, control, and resistance management of veterinary parasites in the sub-region.
The project team includes Dr. Jubin Osei-Mensah as lead, Prof. Benjamin O. Emikpe as academic mentor.

Celebrating our hero
Prof. Benjamin Emikpe, Dean of the School Veterinary Medicine KNUST, has been elected a Fellow of the African Academy of Sciences (FAAS).
The announcement follows a highly competitive and rigorous selection process by the AAS Governing Council for the 2025 Fellowship cohort.
