The vision of this project is to bridge the gap between the privileged and the less privileged (orphans, physically challenged and needy) through better educational foundation and beyond on the orientation of the mind set to hard work, goal achievement, enhanced knowledge, discipline character with good leadership skills, tolerance in diversity and sound moral values. This project begun on 12th J
anuary, 2009 at Asamang, one of the villages in Atwima Nwabiagya District of Ashanti - Ghana. It currently operates at Asuofua on Akyempim Stool Land also in Atwima Nwabiagya District of Ashanti – Kumasi. The centre currently has 154 children comprising Nursery, Kindergarten 1 & 2 and Primary 1. The number keeps on increasing day by day. In addition, it has a staff strength of 8 (Teachers, caretakers and a cook). The centre transports children across 5 neighbouring villages. Volunteers from different countries have always been with the centre to offer different kinds of support. YFC is a registered Non Governmental Organisation. YFC has also been duly registered by Ghana Education Service. Financially, a token fee is charged for their lunch but needy and orphans come for free. The upkeep of the centre has mostly been borne by Hon. Ali Ibrahim with some support from philanthropist and some volunteers who came to serve at the centre.
