As part of the department’s efforts to foster practical learning and professional development, final-year civil engineering students present their design projects, highlighting their skills and creativity. They are assessed by a panel of lecturers from the department.

The monthly departmental seminar was held in April as part of the Department's vision to promote Research. Ing. Dr. Martin K. Domfeh presented to Staff and Students " Elucidating the Phenomenon of Free Surface Vortices at Hydropower Intake using Computational Fluid Dynamics."

The seminar was Chaired by Ing. Dr. Prince Antwi-Adjei and facilitated by Engr. Nana Kwame Obeng-Ahenkora. In attendance were Mr. Clement Wezenamo, Ing. Dr. N.O.B. Ackerson, Ing. Ekow Nkwa Sey, Ing. Samuel Akowuah Okyereh and Mr. Eric Mortey.
