Over the years, many approaches have been taken to support procurement, logistics and supply chain management professionals in Ghana to effectively deliver the required goods, services and works requirements of their respective organizations.
Academia, professional organizations and other training institutes offer varied degrees of professional development and training courses aimed at building the capacity of supply chain professionals.
Supply chain professionals beyond the walls of these training bodies will require some social capital to strive and excel which is currently lacking and woefully inadequate in Ghana.
The GSCC came into being to cover this gap and ensure that it provides a professional networking and mentoring platform that connects supply chain professionals working in organizations and suppliers or companies that offer some goods and services.
Vision:
To be the preferred global community of practice connecting global supply chain professionals, manufacturers and suppliers to build social capital and satisfy individual and organizational requirements.
Mission:
To promote and support peer-to-peer learning, on-the-job mentorship, referral of supply sources for commodities and other supplies, supply chain advocacy through professional volunteers and peer mentors, and IT tools to connect the global supply chain professionals into a community of practice.
Our main goals as GSCC are to:
Connect supply chain professionals across the globe to build their social capital through networking.
