This project is instrumental in the efforts to help provide electricity and economic development opportunities to rural communities in developing countries through the provision of mini grids and entrepreneurial support, as a catalyst for socio-economic development. This is in line with the project’s goal of conducting research, offering higher education at the intersection of sustainable energies

and entrepreneurship to contribute to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The KNUST coordination office is currently establishing a Living Lab at Yeboakrom in the Juaben municipality in the Ashanti Region. The Living Lab is to house a mini grid that will supply electricity to the village and also ensure entrepreneurial and community development at the area.
