The Faculty of Law, KNUST, has qualified for the international Jessup Moot Court International Rounds to be held in Washington, D.C., later this year. The team participated in the National Jessup Moot Court Competition, held earlier this week at GIMPA Law School, where they put up an outstanding performance, including reaching the finals against the University of Ghana.
Team KNUST won the preliminary rounds. Nadia Ohene Adjabeng was adjudged the 3rd Best Oralist. They also received the Overall Best Memorial Award, reflecting their exceptional research and advocacy skills.
The two oralists for the team were Nadia Ohene Adjabeng and Nana Ankamah Yirenkyi. Emmanuel Tematey and Joana K**i Duah served as Of Counsel.
🥳 Congratulations to Team KNUST! We are immensely proud of you and wish you the best as you prepare to represent Ghana on the international stage. Go make us proud!

Prof. Oswald Seneadza, an Associate Professor of Law and expert in Public International Law, explained the international law implications of the United States' capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. He stated that the most significant implication of Maduro's arrest is the precedent it creates. If deemed lawful, this operation could blur the line between law enforcement and warfare, normalize unilateral regime-change strategies, and undermine the protections available to state officials under international law.

KNUST alumnus Ezekiel Osei received four awards at the University of Cambridge’s Master of Laws (LLM) graduation ceremony on 26 July 2025. His awards were the Faculty of Law Prize for Corporate Insolvency Law, the Faculty of Law Prize for Competition Law, the Jeffrey W Cook Prize in Law, and the Johnston Prize for Distinguished Postgraduate Studies. He also ranked third out of 195 candidates. We commend his outstanding accomplishments.👏🏾

The KNUST Faculty of Law cemented its legacy in Ghana’s legal education by securing the prestigious Mensah Sarbah award for the tenth time since 2011. The Mensah Sarbah award is given to the best professional law student at the annual call to the bar ceremony. With Ms. Latifa Teiya Fuseini Esq. winning the award in October of this year, it marked the Faculty’s impressive three-year winning streak since 2023, positioning it for unparalleled prestige.
