Some of the executives of PUG went to pay the Parliament a visit during the PUSAG Games 2026.

In an effort to reduce the backlog of law graduates, the General Legal Council (GLC) and the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) have licensed 19 universities of which Presbyterian University, Ghana is part of the selected universities to run LLB and Pre-Bar programmes under a new legal education arrangement.

The framework has eliminated the entrance test for professional legal training. Fresh graduates and backlog students will undergo a one-year pre-bar course from August or September 2026 in place of proceeding to legal practice training.

The director of the Ghana School of Law, Prof. Raymond Atuguba, said the policy is to ensure a smooth transition to the new legal education system and to widen access to professional legal training.
