What could possibly drive a woman to such extremes?

Why suffer a heavy loss before asking the interim coach to step down? If Coach Zito wasn't good enough, what would his assistant offer? Asante Kotoko is not a team for experimenting. A coach resigned and his assistant was maintained. Sarcastic!!! It's high time the leadership put up a proper structure to help bring back the past glory. This cannot be the Kotoko we grew up to meet.

Dear WAEC,
As the WASSCE and BECE examinations approach, I wish to commend the efforts of invigilators and teachers who work tirelessly to ensure the integrity of the examination process. However, I would like to bring to your attention several concerns that need to be addressed.

Firstly, the issue of examination malpractice is a pressing concern. Invigilators who attempt to uphold the integrity of the examination process are often subjected to threats and intimidation from candidates and, in some cases, school administrators. In extreme cases, some invigilators have lost valuable properties, and their lives have been put at risk. It is disheartening to note that these incidents often go unreported due to fear of reprisal.

Furthermore, the remuneration and allowances paid to invigilators are grossly inadequate. The paltry allowances are often delayed, with some invigilators receiving their payment a year after the examination. This is unacceptable, considering the risks and challenges they face during the examination process.

Additionally, the lack of transparency in the payment of transportation allowances is a major concern. For instance, invigilators are often not compensated fairly for their transportation costs, and some have even had their allowances deducted without prior notice.

The marking and coordination process also poses significant challenges for teachers. They are often expected to mark scripts without knowing their remuneration, and the transportation allowances are woefully inadequate. For example, a teacher traveling from Obuasi to Kumasi for marking coordination would receive a paltry GHC60.00 as transportation allowance, despite the fact that the coordination lasts for several days.

In light of these challenges, I offer the following suggestions:

A) Regarding examination malpractice, it is essential to identify the root cause of the problem. Is it the invigilators or WAEC that is to blame? I implore you to investigate the role of fifth columnists within your organization who may be compromising the integrity of the examination process. Moreover, why are private schools allowed to use their premises as examination centers, and why are they permitted to recruit their own invigilators?

B) Concerning remuneration and allowances, it is imperative that invigilators are paid a decent and timely allowance. The current practice of delaying payment for a year is unacceptable. Teachers who invigilate have resorted to motivating themselves, which is understandable given the circumstances. I urge WAEC to reconsider its remuneration package and ensure that invigilators are paid fairly and on time. In conclusion, I implore WAEC to take these concerns seriously and take immediate action to address them. The integrity of the examination process depends on it.
Sincerely,
Wotee from University of Ants.

The situation has been long overdue for reform. In my opinion, the entire leadership of the GFA, including its head and team, as well as those involved in the football fraternity, should consider stepping down as they are the primary contributors to the challenges facing Ghana's football industry.
