The inaugural Mentorship Initiative, with the theme Industrial Insight:Alumni Connect, took place on June 20, 2024, marking a significant milestone.🥳🥳

The idea of having our lady speaker take the stage and give thought-provoking remarks is perfect for the KNUST-SHS outreach. We believe it's motivation to overcome the myth of girls and mathematics, as it is possible to love math irrespective of gender. Dr. Rhydal Esi Eghan shed light on issues that had gone unnoticed in our little life cycle. "What blindsides are these?

1) When is the first math lesson given? Both of our guesses are correct.😅
2) What age did someone begin studying mathematics?☺️
3) How were the mathematical concepts presented at that young age? objects, colours, counting, and shapes? You are completely aware of this.🤔
4) What is the purpose of continuing to teach math from infancy until SHS?😋
5) Why is Math one of the three subjects that students must pass to be eligible for tertiary education? 😔
6) Can you recognize the joy of math applied in the Dining hall, Administration Block, Assembly Hall, Classroom, etc. 😊

*What does it mean to start an academic outreach program?*
Under the topic "Playing With Math," the Department visited the KNUST-SHS as part of IDM24. The entire auditorium was filled with students who were eager to learn about the celebrated day and the role mathematics plays in daily life. For such an event, it's always worthwhile. Bravo to the Crew.🥰😃
