UHAS Basic School (UBS) Marks Ghana’s Independence Day

Learners of UBS marked Ghana’s Independence Day on Thursday, March 5, 2026 to honour the nation’s independence from British colonial rule in 1957.

The event offered an opportunity to learners to get an insight into Ghana’s history, patriotism, and the importance of national unity.

The learners and teachers dressed in beautiful Ghanaian traditional outfits to add colour to the celebration.

Through the activities organised, the learners paid glowing tributes to the sacrifices of national heroes such as Kwame Nkrumah, J. B. Danquah, Jacob Wilson Sey, and Esther Ocloo.

They also learnt the need to contribute positively to the development of the nation. 🇬🇭
