The Ag. Volta Regional Director of Education, Mrs. Marian Jemima Akua Adzroe, on Wednesday, 5th August, 2026, joined the Educational Leadership of E.P. Church Ghana (EPCG) at the Mawuli School Hall in Ho for the OFFICIAL OPENING of the 10th COHCEPS (Conference of Heads and Chaplains of E.P. Schools) which is a body made up of Heads, Chaplains, and Directors of Education.
It was a proud moment for the Regional Director as she was presented with a Special Citation of Honour for her hard-work as both former General Manager of EPCG Schools and Deputy Volta Regional Director of Education coupled with her elevation as Acting Regional Director of Education and a proud daughter of the E.P. Church. Mrs. Adzroe expressed her appreciation and reminded all the school leaders that making EPCG schools better requires teamwork. "Education is a shared responsibility," she said. She encouraged the church, parents, and entire communities of schools to work together with Government to give students the best education possible.

Last week, Ho hosted the 3rd National Conference for Muslim Women in Teaching (MUSWIT).
On Friday, the Acting Volta Regional Director of Education, Mrs. Marian Jemima Akua Adzroe, graced the event and delivered an inspiring message on women’s leadership and the vital link between student nutrition and learning.
She reminded everyone that, “a child’s mind cannot be treated in isolation from their physical well-being.” She also highlighted some exemplary women in the Qur’an namely: Aisha, Bilqish, Khadija, Mariam, and charged Muslim women in education to take inspiration from their resilience, wisdom, knowledge, and leadership.
The session was capped with an engaging Q&A with our educators.

2026 FESTIVAL OF CREATIVE ARTS AND CULTURE FOR BASIC SCHOOLS
The 2026 Inter-Zonal (Regional) Festival of Creative Arts and Culture which was under the theme: "Culture Education: Nurturing and Preserving Ghanaian Values," successfully came to an end at Mawuli School, Ho, Volta Region, on Friday, 31st July, 2026.
It was a joyous celebration of our rich Ghanaian culture, creativity, talents, and values.

The Festival celebrates our rich Ghanaian culture, creativity, talents, and values.

Yesterday, staff of the Regional Education Directorate and the North Dayi District Directorate, led by the Ag. Regional Director, Mrs. Marian Jemima Akua Adzroe, paid a courtesy call on the Anfoega Traditional Council to brief them on the state of education in the Volta Region, North Dayi District, and Anfoega.
The chiefs took turns asking questions and contributing to the discussions. The District Director for North Dayi advised the house to always seek clarification from the District Education Office on activities and issues before drawing conclusions on matters that may not be clear to them.
The house also raised concerns about the inadequate number of teachers in the district. Mrs. Adzroe assured them that newly recruited teachers would be posted to the district soon, following the government's clearance for the GES to recruit new teachers.
Togbega Tepreh Hodo IV expressed his appreciation for the visit, praised the team, and pledged his full support for education in the Region.

The Ag. Volta Regional Director of Education, Mrs. Marian Jemima Akua Adzroe paid a working visit to the National Standardized Test (NST) orientation mop-up programme held at OLA SHS, Ho. In her company were the Deputy Regional Director of Education, Mr. Dominic Yao Dzanado, and the Regional Chief Inspector of schools, Mr. Daniel Sarpong.
The visit afforded Mrs. Adzroe the opportunity to interact with the participants and motivate them to give of their best during the training session and the subsequent administration of the Test. She provided participants with lunch as a way of motivation.

The Acting Volta Regional Director of Education, Mrs. Marian Jemima Akua Adzroe, paid a working visit to a training session for GES Regional Officers from Volta, Oti, Greater Accra, and Eastern Regions held at Mawuli School, Ho. The training which was a collaboration between GES and WAEC, with support from T-TEL, was on the WAEC Assessment Portal - a key feature of the Secondary Education Reform. It was aimed at equipping participants to better support schools within their jurisdictions as far as students assessment using the Assessment Portal is concerned.
During the visit, the Acting Regional Director engaged with participants and encouraged them to actively participate in the programme. According to her, "The nature of our future will depend on how we build it today."

The Ag. Volta Regional Director of Education, Mrs. Marian Jemima Akua Adzroe, was at the GES-Volta Capacity-Building and Accounts Collation Exercise held at Mawuli School, Ho. In her company were the Deputy Regional Director of Education, Mr. Dominic Yao Dzanado and some Management Members of the Regional Education Directorate. At the Collation Centre were GES Accountants from schools and offices in the 18 Districts of the Region. The Regional Accountant, Mr. John Baptist Aidoo, as always was instrumental in the succesful organization of the programme.

SUCCESSFUL CONDUCT OF APTITUDE TEST FOR ASPIRING SHS/SHTS ASSISTANT HEADS
The Volta Regional Education Directorate, under the leadership of the Ag. Regional Director, Mrs. Marian Jemima Akua Adzroe, successfully conducted Aptitude Test for aspiring Senior High and Senior High Technical Schools (SHS/SHTS) Assistant Heads held at Mawuli School, Ho, on Friday, 10th July, 2026.
The assessment formed part of the selection process to evaluate the knowledge, competence, and readiness of candidates for leadership roles as Assistant Heads in Senior High/Technical Schools.
The Directorate commends all candidates for their punctuality, discipline, cooperation, and professionalism throughout the exercise and wishes them the very best in the next stage of the process. In all, 315 candidates turned up for the Test out of 350 application forms received.

On Tuesday, July 7, 2026, a successful training programme/workshop was held at Mawuli School, Ho for Validators and Validation Officers. The programme was organized by the Controller and Accountant-General's Department (CAGD) in collaboration with the Volta Regional Education Directorate and GES Headquarters.
The workshop was opened by the Ag. Volta Regional Director of Education Mrs. Marian Jemima Akua Adzroe.
