On April 21, 2023, an International Poverty Management Conference on the theme "The Church and the Global Eradication of Ignorance and Poverty in Africa" was held by our academic community. The conference aimed to bring together some experts, scholars, and stakeholders from various disciplines to discuss strategies for eradicating poverty and ignorance in Africa with the involvement of the Church. The conference covered various topics, including the root causes of poverty in Africa, the role of the Church in poverty reduction, and effective strategies for poverty alleviation. As an academic Community, we are thrilled to announce the upcoming International conference on "The Church and the Global Eradication of Ignorance and Poverty in Africa." The conference is set to take place on friday the 21st of April 2023 and will feature renowned experts and scholars in the field.

The theme of this conference is of utmost importance in the contemporary world. Africa, like many other parts of the world, faces the challenges of ignorance and poverty, which are intertwined and perpetuate each other. The Church, as a vital institution in many African communities, has a crucial role to play in addressing these challenges.
This upcoming conference hopes to provide a platform for experts to share their knowledge, research findings, and experiences on how the Church can contribute to the global eradication of ignorance and poverty in Africa. Participants will discuss various issues related to the theme, including the role of the Church in education, healthcare, poverty reduction, and community development.

We are so grateful to the SRC executives who organised a memorable "Akwaaba Night" to welcome our new friends and some of our outgoing members! It was a night to remember, full of laughter and excitement. It was an evening that reminded us that as an academic community, we live in a global village. It reminded us that we are in one single family and that being an international academic community, it is our responsibility to bring friendships and love from all our different cultures to live together sharing our experiences with others.
