Abuakwa North MCE commends Bright SHS for consistent sterling academic performance

The Municipal Chief Executive for Abuakwa North in Eastern Region ,Alhaji Umar Babs Bodinga has highly commended Bright Senior High School for the consistent sterling academic performance which has brought honour to the Municipality .

The MCE said this when he visited the school as part of his familiarization tour to institutions in the Municipality.

He was welcomed by the President of the school, Mr Bright Amponsah Nyarko , management ,staff and students .

Addressing the students and staff ,the Municipal Chief Executive eulogized Bright Senior High School for once again placing first in the academic league table of the Municipality .

He said ,it is undisputable fact that Bright SHS is among the top notch Private schools in Ghana .He urged management to continue to excell in their academic exploits and uphold discipline .

The MCE advised students to be discipline and learn more harder for more academic laurels.

"I want to congratulate Bright Senior High School for emerging as the best in the Municipality with reference to the 2021 academic league table for Abuakwa North in connection with the results from the just ended West African Examination Council (WAEC) made available by the Abuakwa North Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES). I know you will be writing the next examination, your predecessors have thrown you a challenge to maintain or take the school to another level. I'm sure my presence here as the Municipal Chief Executive, recognising the school's performance will motivate you to retain and go beyond the expectations of all." Bright Senior High School has been selected to participate in 2022 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) competition .

The prestigious private senior High School was selected on merit of its consistent outstanding academic performance over the years.

Management, has therefore started initiating interventions to adequately prepare the pioneer students who will represent the school.

Bright SHS is ready to leverage its academic excellence, world class science laboratory as well as specialized science and Maths Teachers to conquer and secure the bragging right.

The NSMQ is the longest-running independent production on television in Ghana started in 1993 .The academic programme is very popular with not only its main target group – Senior High School students – but also with parents and, especially, with former students (old boys and girls), who take great pride in the performance of their schools on this programme.

Participation in the quiz competition has increased to about 135 public Senior High and technical schools in the country.

Please this is the notice to Parents whose wards are in form 3

NOTICE TO PARENTS
This is to inform all parents that they should not allow their wards to bring mobile phones to school. If a student is caught with a phone, the phone would be confiscated and the student would be sacked from the school. Such student would not be allowed to write the WASSCE.
Also, any student who leaves the school without authorisation from the management would be sacked and such student would not be allowed to write the WASSCE.
Home Economics students should bring EMPTY gas cylinders, cooking utensils and other equipment for their WASSCE practical examination. No student would be allowed to enter the school with a filled gas cylinder.
