We at MindBert Research and Training Centre are delighted to celebrate Prof. Robert Ipiin Gnankob on his recent presentation at the Journal of Management Studies (JMS) Conference 2026, today (25th March, 2026) at the University of Cambridge, UK.

His work takes a thoughtful look at the idea of “truth,” especially in relation to ESG reporting. It raises important questions about how ESG is often presented as a universal measure of firm legitimacy, yet may not fully reflect the lived realities of contexts in the Global South. By showing that both ESG reporting and legitimacy are shaped through ongoing construction, contestation, and negotiation, his study opens up space for more grounded and inclusive conversations in this area.
