Bolgatanga Polytechnic

Bolgatanga Polytechnic was founded in 1999 under PNDC Law 321(1992) which was amended in 2007 with an Act of Parliament (Act 745). The Polytechnic began in a defunct structure of the former Meat Marketing Board at Bukere, Bolgatanga. The Polytechnic matriculated its first students in 2003. It has since grown from an infant Polytechnic to a modest Polytechnic with 11 HND programmes in three schools - Applied Science and Arts, Business and Management Studies, and Engineering. In collaboration with Kumasi Technical University, the Polytechnic has introduced a Bachelor of Technology in Accounting with Computing. About three other Bachelor of Technology programmes and eight new HND programmes will soon be introduced. Bolgatanga Polytechnic operates from two campuses: the Sumbrungu Campus and the Bukere Campus.
