UNDERSTANDING YOUR MAN

Men are something else; sometimes they don't speak, but they want to be heard and understood. They want their women to know that when they don't want to be bothered or disturbed, it doesn't mean they have fallen out of love with her or have found someone else. They just need time to think; in order not to be disturbed or distracted from such a process, they will like to be left alone. Maybe because they are not as multitasked as women are. Talking is not their natural way of solving things; they believe thinking alone is the best way. Sometimes they get trapped in their thinking without results.

Sometimes they need a friend who will listen to them, not for a solution but to know what they have been struggling with, to understand their frustration, and to see the difficulty they are faced with. They do that so you can understand them and also calm them down with your words, touch, comfort, etc.

But the truth is, sometimes men are misunderstood. Instead of his woman listening to his fear, difficulty, struggles, and putting herself in his shoes to understand what is happening to him and calm him down, she rather blows the issue out of proportion. She rather gets into the same mood and tries to make sense out of what he is thinking and link it to something else

When you do that, he doesn't only get lost, but he also distances himself from you and finds it hard to voice out his frustration next time. When you spot your man thinking about something and even asking about it, he prefers to say nothing. And that makes you worry even more.

He opens up to you as a friend, someone who will comfort him. Love for a man is sometimes comfort; it is how you calm us down and drive away his fears. Your comfort to your man, especially in a time of distress, confusion, anger, stress, and frustration, is like sunshine after the rain

Afua Asantewaa O Aduonum
Go for gold, go for Ghana! 🇬🇭

The Guinness World Record for the longest Singing Marathon by an individual last over 105 hours was achieved by Sunil Waghmare in India.

A Ghanaian lady, Afua Asantewaa O Aduonum is set to break a Guinness record for longest singing marathon this December.

She is expected to sing for over 117hours or more in order to break the current world record which stands at 105hours and happened in 2012.

She’s not to repeat songs and each song will not be more or less than 2mins. Meaning she’s going to sing over 3,200 Ghanaian songs if she’s to break the current record.

This attempt is strictly for Ghanaian songs. She is doing this to promote Ghanaian music, from Gospel to High Life to Hip Life to Azonto to Afrobeats and etc.

Afua needs our support and we must support her.

A good writer is known through writing, not through certificates or claims

Any time I see an employer who needs a good writer but is looking for degrees, I see an unserious employer. Does a certificate write?

If you say you are a good writer, I won't argue with you or talk too much with you. If you show me published materials you have written, I won't still argue with you. Having worked in the newsroom and in the book publishing industry, I have seen poor write-ups transformed by wonderful editors.

Therefore, if I want to know if you are a good writer, I would simply give you something to write to prove how well you write.

The same thing goes for an editor. You prove your capacity through editing, not through certificates or claims.

Dogs were put to compete with the cheetah, the goal was to find out who is faster.

Everyone was surprised that the cheetah didn't move out of it's place, they asked the race coordinator what happened!?

His response after seeing the picture:
′′ Sometimes trying to prove that you're the best is an insult.

We don't need to go down to other people's level, to make them understand that we are the strongest.

Think hard and save your energy for what you deserve...

Cheetah uses its speed to hunt not to prove to dogs that it is faster and stronger...
