COMPUTERIZED SCHOOL SELECTION AND PLACEMENT SYSTEM IN THE AHAFO REGION

The Free SHS Secretariat in the Ahafo Region has highlighted some of the challenges associated with the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) in the Ahafo Region.

One of the major concerns raised was the residential status of students, particularly cases where students from distant communities are placed in schools as day students.

For some students, the distance between their homes and their placed schools makes daily commuting difficult, costly, and potentially unsafe.

The issue therefore calls for careful consideration of students' residential preferences, geographical location, distance to school, and the availability of boarding facilities.
