Avenor Senior High School Sports Field Faces Challenges as Poor Condition Raises Concerns

The sports field of Avenor Senior High School has become a source of concern among students and staff due to its deteriorating condition, with the field reportedly flooded, uneven, and riddled with holes and tree stumps.

The poor state of the field has raised safety concerns, especially for students who use the facility for physical education lessons, sporting activities, and other school events. Some students have expressed worry that the condition of the field could lead to injuries during training sessions and competitions.

According to some students, the presence of holes and stumps makes it difficult for athletes to train effectively and affects the overall quality of sporting activities in the school. They believe that improving the field will not only promote sports development but also encourage more students to participate actively in physical activities.

Sports teachers and school authorities are being urged to consider measures to rehabilitate the field by levelling the surface, removing dangerous obstacles, and creating a safer environment for students.

The sports field remains an important facility in every school, providing opportunities for students to develop their talents, maintain fitness, and build teamwork. A well-maintained field at Avenor Senior High School could therefore contribute significantly to the growth of sports and the general well-being of students.

Students and stakeholders are hopeful that the necessary steps will be taken to restore the field to a better condition.
