tips 01 #
Friends, as we begin this new week with our little ones, I just want to remind us that our wellbeing matters as much as theirs. The atmosphere we carry into the classroom flows straight into the children.
One thing that really helps is starting the day calm, maybe with a short breathing exercise, a welcome song, or even a gratitude moment. It sets the tone for everyone.
Iβve also seen how routines make a big difference. When children know what comes next, they feel safe and settled. And donβt forget movement, sometimes all they need is a quick dance or stretch to reset their focus.
Letβs also give space for feelings. A simple feelings chart or corner where kids can point to how they feel goes a long way. And while weβre guiding them, letβs not forget *ourselves*. Even taking a sip of water or a mindful breath can reset us when the class feels overwhelming.
Most importantly, letβs celebrate the little wins. A smile, a clap, or a kind word builds so much confidence in these young ones.
At the end of the day, balance is everything. Mix work with play, structure with rest, and keep building those supportive relationships with parents and each other.
We canβt pour from an empty cup. When we care for our wellbeing, we create a safe, joyful, and thriving space for our learners.
