Courtesy Call on the Ga Mantse👑

On 13th August 2026, a delegation from the Achimota School Centenary Planning Committee paid a courtesy call on His Royal Majesty Nii Teiko Tsuru II, Ga Mantse.

The delegation was led by Mr. Ebenezer Graham Acquaah (Headmaster, Achimota School), Akora Harold Esseku (Chair, Achimota@100 Planning Committee/OAA VP) and Akora Sarah‑Lynn Mansaray (Past OAA President/OAA 1965). The team was warmly received by the Ga Mantse, his Chief of Staff, and Queen Mothers of the Ga State.

The delegation outlined the vision and importance of Achimota School in the history of Ghana and presented the program of activities for the Achimota Centenary. The team emphasized the importance of the Ga Mantse’s involvement in the celebrations and promised to send special invitations for key programmes in the calendar.

🤝 Strengthening Achimota Bonds🤝

On 18th August, 2026, a meeting bringing together key stakeholders of Achimota School was held in preparation for the Centenary of Achimota School.

The lead participants in the meeting included, the chair of the Achimota School Centenary Planning Committee, Akora Harold Esseku (also OAA Vice-President), Mr. Ebenezer Graham Acquaah (Headmaster, Secondary), Madam Nimatu Iddrisu (Headmistress, Basic), Akora David Amankwah, (President, Achimota Primary Alumni & President, OAA 1977) and Akora Eunice Quarcoopome, (OAA Executive Secretary, OAA 1975).

The meeting emphasized the vision of the founders and the timeless motto of Achimota School, "That all may be one.”

Both the Primary and Secondary Heads reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring strong collaboration between the two schools. The Vice-president of the OAA and the President of APS both indicated collaboration between the two in recent times.

As part of the Centenary Celebrations, the Primary Department will participate in several key events, including: Centenary Founders’ Day Cadet Parade & Durbar, Musical performances, Educational symposiums, Sports activities, and Homecoming activities .

The Centenary Clinic, which is planned as the Achimota@100 Legacy Project, is expected to serve both the Primary and Secondary Schools and relevant data has been obtained from the Basic and Secondary schools.

In addition, future collaboration is planned between the Achimota Primary Alumni Association and the Old Achimotan Association (OAA) on issues of mutual benefit.
