Happy Easter

IT'S PALM SUNDAY…

THIS IS MORE THAN A TRADITION, IT'S A PROPHETIC DECLARATION.

Many celebrate Palm Sunday… but not everyone understands it.

This was not just a peaceful entry.
This was not just people waving palm branches.

This was prophecy in motion.

On this day, Jesus entered Jerusalem not as a victim, but as a King.

📖 “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey…” — Zechariah 9:9

The people shouted “Hosanna!” meaning: “Save us now!”

📖 “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!” — Matthew 21:9

They laid down palm branches…
They laid down their garments…

📖 “A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.” — Matthew 21:8

Why?

Because in ancient times, palms were symbols of victory, honor, and royalty.

📖 “After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude… They were holding palm branches in their hands.” — Revelation 7:9

They were not just welcoming a man…
They were recognizing a KING.

But here is the deep mystery:

The same crowd that shouted “Hosanna”…
A few days later shouted “Crucify Him!”

📖 “But the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowd to ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus executed.” — Matthew 27:20-23

Palm Sunday is not just about celebration…
It is about examining your loyalty to God.

📖 “These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.” — Matthew 15:8

Do you only praise Him when things are good?
Or will you stand with Him when it is not convenient?

📖 “If we endure, we will also reign with Him.” — 2 Timothy 2:12

WHY PALM SUNDAY IS IMPORTANT

(1) It fulfills prophecy
God’s Word never fails.
📖 “For no word from God will ever fail.” — Luke 1:37

(2) It reveals Jesus as King — not just Savior, but Ruler
📖 “On His robe and on His thigh He has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” — Revelation 19:16

(3) It marks the beginning of destiny fulfillment — the journey to the cross
📖 “He set His face toward Jerusalem.” — Luke 9:51

(4) It teaches humility
A King riding on a donkey, not a horse.
📖 “He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!” — Philippians 2:8

(5) It calls for surrender
Laying down what we have before Him.
📖 “Present your bodies as a living sacrifice…” — Romans 12:1

WHY EVERY CHURCH MUST CELEBRATE PALM SUNDAY

Because it is not just a date on the calendar…

It is a reminder that:

Jesus is still King
📖 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” — Hebrews 13:8

Victory is already assured
📖 “Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” — 1 Corinthians 15:57

Redemption is in motion
📖 “In Him we have redemption through His blood…” — Ephesians 1:7

And God’s promises are unfolding
📖 “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen…” — 2 Corinthians 1:20

🔥 PROPHETIC DECLARATION

This Palm Sunday, I declare:

📖 “Lift up your heads, O gates… that the King of glory may come in!” — Psalm 24:7

Every closed gate in your life is opening.

Every delayed promise is manifesting.
📖 “Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come…” — Habakkuk 2:3

Every battle is turning into victory.
📖 “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” — Exodus 14:14

Your King is stepping into your situation with power!

Don’t just wave palms this year…
Lay down your burdens, your fears, your pride, and your plans before Him.

📖 “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7

Because when the King enters…
Nothing remains the same.

📖 “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation…” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

🔥 “God uses those who are too weak to rely on themselves.” – Dag Heward-Mills

God has always entrusted His work to men who learned the poverty of self. Scripture records no lasting movement born from human confidence. It records altars raised by those who discovered their own insufficiency and therefore leaned upon God. Pastor Dag Heward-Mills has often testified that usefulness before God begins where personal strength loses its voice. Weakness, when yielded, becomes a doorway through which divine help enters without obstruction.

A man who knows his limits does not despise ability, yet he refuses to trust it. He learns to wait, to listen, and to move only as grace supplies. Such a life does not parade dependence upon God as a theory, but lives it as a necessity. Ministry then becomes an act of stewardship rather than self-expression, and service becomes an offering rather than an achievement.

The gospel advances most surely through vessels that understand they cannot carry it alone. God does not search for those who feel capable, but for those who remain aware that they are sustained moment by moment. Where self retreats, grace finds room. Where confidence bows, strength is released.

Weakness in itself holds no virtue, yet weakness that leans upon God becomes a quiet testimony that the work belongs to Him. In such lives, Christ stands clear, and the servant remains small enough for God to be seen. 🔥
