Galamsey has Destroyed 1.2m Hectares of Farmland, Displacing Over 500,000 Farmers โ PFAG

The IESS Alumni Association wishes to congratulate Professor Daniel Nukpezah on his appointment by the University of Ghana Council as Director of IESS starting August 1, 2025.
Prof. Nukpezah is an alumnus of the Environmental Science Programme (ESP) and the first ESP/IESS alumnus to be appointed as Director of IESS.
He has served as a faculty member of the Institute for well over a decade. Apart from a terminal (doctoral) degree in Environmental Science from the Brandenburg Technology University (BTU) in Cottbus, Germany, he holds three Masters degrees including an MBA from Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden. Prof. Nukpezah has served on several committees and boards within the University of Ghana and elsewhere. He comes to the role with relevant training in Management, Organization, Leadership and Strategy.
We wish Prof. Nukpezah a successful tenure.
