Project Partnership Announcement 📣
We are pleased to announce a collaboration on a Chevening Alumna led community-based impact project.
Under her initiative - , 2024/25 Cohort Alum , will lead a two-day engagement; “The Bolgatanga Edition”, focused on community dialogue, farmer engagement, youth participation, and practical training to drive climate action and food systems transformation in the Upper East Region, a climate-vulnerable area.
Aligned with the 🌿🌳🍀🌍 theme “Our Power, Our Planet,” the project will train about 100 high school graduates and community members in fish farming, while engaging 20 local farmers on climate resilience and postharvest practices.
We are calling on all alumni in the northern sector of Ghana to come out in support of this initiative and network with the team

The Chevening 2026/2027 Selection Cycle update is here!
We’ve now moved into the interview phase for the 2026/2027 cycle. This window, we recieved 3,000+ applications, and have now shortlisted 52 candidates for interviews.
Interviews commenced yesterday, 9th and will run until 31st March 2026.

The Executive Council of the Chevening Alumni Association, Ghana, comprising its President, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and Organizer, paid a courtesy call on HE Dr. Christian Rogg, the British High Commissioner to Ghana and Togo, in his Accra office. Also in attendance were Patrons, members of the Advisory Board, and the Chevening officer at the High Commission.
The meeting was to introduce the High Commissioner to the status, activities, and strategic direction of the Chevening Alumni Association in Ghana.
During the engagement, the High Commissioner shared his professional background and diplomatic priorities. The Executive Council, in turn, briefed HE on the alum association’s ongoing initiatives, operational challenges, and forward-looking plans. Particular emphasis was placed on:
1. Reinforcing the visibility and prestige of the Chevening Programme in Ghana.
2. Consolidating and deepening UK–Ghana bilateral relations through alumni-led initiatives.
3. Leveraging technology to enhance engagement with Cheveners nationwide, including the development and effective management of a centralised alum database.
4. Exploring alignment between the High Commissioner’s regular visits to other parts of Ghana and the Chevening Alumni workplan, to facilitate structured engagement between
The High Commissioner and Cheveners outside Accra.
The Commissioner reemphasized his office's support for the Alumni body and indicated the need to leverage other informal occasions for further engagement. The meeting reaffirmed a shared commitment to sustaining the Chevening legacy in Ghana while advancing mutually beneficial UK–Ghana relations through strategic alum engagement.

At the recently ended 2025 National PR Summit of the Institute of Public Relations Ghana (IPR, Gh), 2016 Cohort Chevening scholar, Famous Kwesi Atitsogbe was inducted as a fully Accredited Public Relations Professional (APR).
This validation attests to growth, consistency, innovation and impact within the PR profession in Ghana.
