On 29th November 2025, NiBS University organised the Executive Doctor in Residence integration for our master’s students and the doctors who have completed their process and are ready to mentor.
The EDR is a significant step in the university’s vision to build a stronger bridge between academic learning and real professional practice. It brings experienced doctoral-level practitioners into the heart of the academic community, ensuring that the knowledge our students gain is not confined to theory but is applied in real workplaces, industries and contexts that matter.
Through the EDR, master’s students receive direct guidance from professionals who understand both scholarship and practice. It gives them access to insight, clarity, responsibility, and the real demands of leadership. It also creates room for industry to influence academia in ways that support national development and shape the next generation of professionals.
For NiBS, the EDR is not simply a mentorship arrangement. It is a commitment to developing thinkers and practitioners who use their knowledge in service to their fields, their communities, and to humanity. It represents the kind of university we are becoming: a place where academic excellence and industry engagement work together to produce leaders who create impact.
