What School Won’t Teach You

This week article is very sensitive in all aspects of our lives and must be well taken into consideration. Have wondered about what you are not been taught in school after paying huge sums of money to acquire formal educational knowledge? For once, I came to understand the view of that particular video that gave caution to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to change our school syllabus. This video went viral so much that many tagged it “Funny Video” instead of finding the hard reality in what he said. Of course, schools don’t teach us so many important things and one of such topics in life is; MONEY.

I find it worrying that some important life skills are completely disregarded in our educational system. I feel that, after one has passed through all the stages in education, making money does not become an option but rather a necessity. I realized many people graduate with excellent grades and would still have to spend extra years struggling on how to make money. Don’t you think it would have been ideal to learn how to make money in school? YES… But interestingly, the subject money is taught at home not in school. This is what the youth must know!

One of the reasons why the rich get richer, the poor get poorer and the middle class struggles in debt is based on their mindset. What can a poor parent tell their child about money? They simply say “Stay in school and study hard.” Rich people, on the other hand, not only teach their kids smart money habits, but they teach them that it's OK to want to be rich, and that wealth is possible for anyone who thinks big enough and learn to manage risk.

If you are reading this article, I want to share one secret of breaking the chain of poverty “INVESTMENT.” We the youth must cultivate the habit of investing, as a tool to secure our future. Unfortunately so many people are blinded with the assumption that, opening a Savings Account is the best. Owning a savings account typically offers a lower interest rate which decreases your buying power but then investing allows you freedom on account of the money working for you. Educate yourself about Money. Most people don’t bother to learn anything. The belief is that you can figure how to sustain yourself along the way. That is a horrible strategy for anything in life. Don’t guess your way through life (it’s too short). Utilize the knowledge and experience of others that have gone before you so that you can avoid the common pitfalls.

Use the knowledge of others as a catalyst to speed up your success in 2018 and beyond.

THE LIFE OF THE BLACK AUTHOR

Welcome to the world of a Black Motivator where confidence, perseverance and success are my ultimate look out. My culture is aesthetically dawn for greatness and can be appreciated by those who believe in me.
The picture represents a story that disconnects my appearance with that of the environment. My appearance may not match up with the environment and one may wonder why the disconnection between my appearance and the environment. My focus is on the positive things I can create as a result of the influence the environment has on me. The environment could dictate to me the culture but I strive to remain truthful to my identity.
My value is coloured by my environment however, I remain resolute to stay authentic and pure in my appearance. My environment may change but my essence and appearance stay the same. I consistently remind myself of where I come from and where I want to reach. Having great focus guides and shapes me up. I am also mindful of my environment and I bring my thoughts to the present moment in order to balance the circumstances. I nurture the ability to absorb my environment and look out for the important stuff, take cognizance of them and draw out the sense and spirit of it.
I must say that everyone needs to identify their environment and find the beauty in them. We all cannot be the same otherwise it will be boring.
Your world may be different from mine, don’t let it affect your state of mind, rather stay true to your colour!
