Today, we celebrate International . 💛🤍💜🖤

Gender equality means justice, safety, rights, and care for nonbinary people and all 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

Nonbinary people continue to face discrimination every day, especially those who also experience barriers related to race, disability, poverty, and other intersecting identities. Today is a reminder to celebrate nonbinary people while continuing to advocate for a future where everyone can live safely and authentically.

Today is International Non-Binary People’s Day - a day to recognize and affirm people whose genders do not fit within the binary of girl/woman or boy/man.

Non-binary children and youth deserve to be seen, respected and supported in their identities. This includes having their names, pronouns, relationships, privacy and safety respected in every setting where they learn, receive care, seek support or participate in community.

For child- and youth-serving systems, affirmation is not symbolic. It is protective. It helps create the conditions for belonging, well-being and trust.

Every child and youth has the right to be respected for who they are.
