NATIONAL GMSA LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP - DAY TWO (THIRD SESSION)

Day Two continued with thought-provoking sessions focused on equipping participants with practical leadership skills. One key session emphasised that leadership is about identifying problems and proposing practical solutions rather than rushing into solutions without properly understanding the challenges.

Participants also engaged with an experienced engineer who shared insights on future plans, personal positioning, innovation, and becoming change-makers in society.

The day concluded with an engaging session on emotional intelligence, exploring how leaders can develop self-awareness, manage emotions, understand others, and respond effectively in different situations. Through discussions and group interactions, participants gained valuable perspectives to strengthen their leadership effectiveness.

NATIONAL GMSA LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP — DAY TWO (SECOND SESSION)

The second session of Day Two featured Sheikh Amin Bonsu, Chairman of the Ghana Muslim Mission and Member of the GMSA National Board of Patrons. He encouraged GMSA leaders to uphold the values of leadership, serve with purpose, and strive to go beyond the achievements of those before them.

The Principal of Amen Professional College of Health Sciences, the host institution, also shared valuable insights on championing the cause of Muslims on and beyond campus while promoting religious tolerance in health, academics, and everyday life.

A further session challenged participants on readiness, purpose, direction, and purposeful living, inspiring leaders to translate knowledge into meaningful action.

NATIONAL GMSA LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP — DAY TWO (FIRST SESSION)

The first session of Day Two was led by Ing. Prof. Abdul-Rahman Ahmed, a lecturer at KNUST, who took participants through the essence of effective leadership and the qualities expected of emerging leaders.

The session emphasised composure, professionalism, moral uprightness, and the responsibility that comes with every privilege. Participants were reminded that privileges beget responsibilities and that leadership is an opportunity to serve, pursue excellence, and inspire others.

The session also highlighted the importance of unity, integrity, and becoming positive examples within GMSA and society. It was an insightful and empowering session, equipping participants with values essential for responsible leadership.

NATIONAL GMSA LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP — DAY ONE

The GMSA National Leadership Workshop officially commenced on Tuesday, 18th August 2026, with an evening session facilitated by the Baraka Policy Institute in collaboration with the National GMSA Secretariat.

The session focused on the proposed reforms to strengthen the association’s structures and governance. Central to the discussions was the GMSA structural framework, with participants examining constitutional provisions and proposed amendments that could shape the association’s future development.

The session featured presentations, active participation, and questions from members. It was a strong and energising start, setting the tone for meaningful dialogue, reform, and strategic action.

The atmosphere is gradually coming alive as attendees from various Institutional GMSA branches and Regional GMSA structures begin arriving at the venue of the GMSA National Leadership Workshop & Central Committee Meeting.
