Chère communauté AYGC,
Parmi les communiqués de l'AYGC 2023, deux sont directement en rapport avec la querelle en cours entre les 3 pays dirigés par des régimes militaires en Afrique et l'UA dont 15 membres ont formé la CEDEAO.
1. Les menaces à la bonne gouvernance, à la paix et à la sécurité sur le continent seront éliminées en créant des dialogues centrés sur la jeunesse et des interfaces entre les décideurs politiques et les parties prenantes locales, à travers les approches de l'UA en matière de paix.
2. Exhorte l'UA et ses CER à revoir leur régime de sanctions imposées à ses États membres en cas de changement inconstitutionnel.

Dear AYGC Community,
two of the 2023 AYGC communique speaks directly to the ongoing banter between 3 countries with military regimes in Africa and AU whose 15 members have formed ECOWAS.
1. Threats to good governance, peace and security in the continent will be eliminated by creating youth centered dialogues and interface between policy makers and the grassroots stakeholders, through the AU’s approaches to peace.
2. Urges the AU and its RECs to review their sanctions regime imposed on its member states in instances of inconstitutional change.

AYGC 2023 Event Highlights!!
When the young dancers from the AYGC African story telling night needed to connect with delegates, a bird whispered to them that our diasporans from Nova Scotia Canada needed to bond with the soil more than anybody. So one by one, they were ushered unto the dancing floor.
One thing was clear, they did not disappoint much to the admiration of the crowd.

We are happy to share the African Youth and Governance Communique in English, French and Portuguese adopted by the General Assembly of the African Youth and Governance Convergence during its 15th session in Mankessim, Ghana.
The major theme was “Advancing Youth Inclusive Governance, Peace and Security in Africa: The Digital Innovation Factor and the sub-theme “Connecting Youth to Build One African Identity.
