*GIJ SRC General Assembly passes CI41 into law*
The 14th General Assembly of the GIJ SRC led by Rt.Honourable Dennis Attuquayefio yesterday at an emergency meeting at the Ringway Campus of the Ghana Institute of Journalism passed CI 41 which will serve as the working document for this year’s SRC election.

The CI41 as presented by the Electoral Commission chair Festus Kwabena Harley, outlined the modalities that will guide all stakeholders in this year’s GIJ SRC election.

The house after many deliberations on the mode of election finally passed the Constitutional Instrument into law giving the Electoral Commission the green light to commence activities.

The Speaker of the House Right Honourable Dennis Attuquayefio signed the CI into law after the house agreed in the various elements in thr CI.

GA GIVE ORGANIZING SECRETARY APPROVAL TO PUBLICIZE SRC WEEK.

The 14th General Assembly in its second sitting approved the request submitted to the house by the Executive Committee through the organizing secretary for the permission to start publicity on the upcoming SRC week.

This move is in connection with the provision of the GIJ SRC constitution Article 13 Clause 1 (b) states that “General Assembly shall debate and subsequently approve Executive Committee programs before their implementation”.

The 14th General Assembly at it's first sitting elected Hon. Bonaventure Bentum of level 200 and Hon. Fati Ali of Diploma 2 as the Whips and Deputy Whips of the Assembly. Congratulations on your election

THE SWEARING IN CEREMONY OF THE 14TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY.

HONOURABLE MUDATHTHIR ILLIAS APPOINTED DEFENDANT GENERAL

Honourable Mudaththir Illias Issah earlier today was appointed Defendant General of the GIJ-SRC General Assembly by a unanimous decision during an emergency sitting.

His appointment is in accordance with Article 8 Clause 3 (a) of the GIJ-SRC constitution which mandates the General Assembly to appoint a Defendant General. The position became vacate after Honourable Edem Dei-Tutu resign yesterday.

The house congratulates Honourable Mudaththir on his appointment and looks forward to his unreserved service in the house.
