Parenting Education Network, Ghana
CWEC GHANA

We are not going to Ghana to lecture.

At the end of April, we will return to work alongside local partners who are investing seriously in better educational practice.

We believe good training is collaborative. It builds on the knowledge, experience, and commitment that people already bring, and creates space for learning, dialogue, and practical improvement.

That is the kind of work we are proud to support.

Parents must understand children’s digital habits to guide learning – Parenting expert 16/03/2026

Parenting Education Network CEO Speaks on Guiding Children’s Digital Habits

The Chief Executive Officer of Parenting Education Network (PEN Ghana) has underscored the urgent need for parents to understand their children’s digital habits in order to effectively guide their learning and overall development.

Speaking in an interview with Asaase Radio, the CEO explained that today’s children are growing up in a fast‑paced digital environment where online platforms, apps, and devices shape not only their education but also their social interactions and values. Parents who fail to grasp these realities risk widening the gap between themselves and their children.

“It is not enough to simply monitor screen time. Parents must engage with what children consume online, how they learn, and the skills they are building,” the CEO emphasized.

The discussion highlighted several key points:
- Digital literacy as parenting duty: Parents must become familiar with the platforms and tools their children use.
- Balanced growth: Families should encourage both digital learning and offline activities to ensure holistic development.
- Trust and connection: By engaging with children’s digital interests, parents strengthen communication and reduce generational gaps.

The CEO cautioned that ignoring children’s digital habits could lead to educational gaps, behavioral challenges, and weakened parental influence. PEN Ghana therefore calls on all parents to embrace digital literacy as a core part of modern parenting.
