We call this perfect moment the “peanut butter and chocolate” feeling.
The peanut butter? A rush of hormones and relief as you finally reach the finish line of labor.
The chocolate? Meeting your sweet baby at last.
Perfection.

Let’s talk about the pushing phase of labor!
Did you know you don't “have” to be lying flat on your back for this? It’s actually one of the hardest positions to push efficiently in, yet it’s still the most common representation of birth you see in TV and movies and a recent study showed 68% of birthing people still gave birth this way
The best tool for pushing is actually using gravity to your own advantage. Being flat on your back means you end up working harder, not smarter. Because you aren’t working with gravity and the reflexive pressure of your uterus.
This position also closes off your pelvic outlet, allowing our sacrum to narrow the opening, which makes baby’s exit door smaller.
Some of our favorite gravity-friendly pushing positions are
⭐️Hands and Knees
⭐️Side Lying
⭐️Squatting
⭐️Lunging
What position did you push in?

The ring of fire! We all have heard about it and may cringe at the thought but what a miraculous and amazing way our bodies change and make space for a baby to be born?
For some, they describe this as the worst part of birth while others felt in control and a sense of relief once they knew they were seconds away from birthing their baby!
How did you feel about the ring of fire at your birth?

Hey Mama, this is a simple reminder to be intentional about teaching our kids what we know. What’s one thing you wish you were taught early? I wish I was taught how to be a millionaire at 30 lol. I could use a million dollars right now but the way my bank account is set up, I have a lot to learn and a lot of work to do 😫🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣🤣. Anyway, happy Monday! I hope you have a blessed week.
