Dear friend, you were made for fellowship, not only with Jesus but with a body of believers.

This is so important that our opinions don't even matter about it. Read the scripture above again.

The foot chooses not to be part of the body and yet scripture insists that that opinion...does not hold. In fact, scripture is loud...

..It would not for that reason stop being part...

If this is true, then every believer everywhere, whether they know it or not belongs! They belong to a church community where nurturing, fellowshipping and care in Christ m thrives.

It us unnatural to have an isolated believer and isolation, just like in the Garden of Eden, can dry out what we were destined to be in the kingdom.

In verse 26, we're told: when one member of the body suffers, we suffer with it. Doesn’t matter how old, how young, how new, how difficult, how stubborn this part is...we still suffer with it.

Don't stay in isolation, when I need you...to survive as much as you too...need me.

Keep faith alive.

Water situation. If your leader is Moses, he will walk you THROUGH the water, but Jesus…will walk you ON the water. It is not the same.

"The law came by Moses but grace and truth came by Jesus", says John 1:17. The differences in leaders…make the differences in our lives.

A better 2024 will be a year where you are a better leader to yourself. It will also be the one where the leaders whose cough can give you a dry harmattan cold, also become better. A better parent…a better child. A better teacher…a better student.

Some kinds of mosquitoes are born on Monday, and by nature, die of Friday - a 5-day lifespan.

Compare eternity to our whole life on earth and even 5 days will be much.

But the question that needs asking is.. What are we doing with our 5?

By rejecting the man of God...John-the-Baptist, because he's a man, they were rejecting God's purpose for their lives.

If you're a fish and have lived all your life in water, you will tend to believe that life in water...is the only life there is.

Your zero experience of life on land..or anywhere...will mean nothing to you until one day, your need for territorial exploration becomes an impatient need.

But seriously. What is life? What's the place of leadership and faith in this 'compound house' called life?

If you can, be there. Let's be BY THE FIRE SIDE this Thursday at 10 am. It's a holiday.

There is no solo road on this journey of life.

..and our need for others is not a weakness. In many cases, asking for help is the right thing to do.

Some of our needs need someone apart from us to be met.

To need something...and not know yet...that you need it...will not take your need for it away. It will only mask this need and magnify its consequence.

"Are you the Messiah we've been expecting or should we keep looking for someone else?" - Luke 7:19 NLT

In the womb this man knew and responded to Jesus. Jesus later called him the greatest person to be born by a man and woman. Jesus even stooped for this man to baptism Him...and yet this man...sends sends others to ask the above question? Yes.

Believe me. The purpose of life is not just to be alive...but awake.

It is what makes the difference...again...between a 2 year old and a 20 year old.

But the greatest awaking is when you are able to see what...who in your current circumstance is the solution you are looking for.

I won't downplay what you may be going through...but there's always help you're not seeing. Always.

And I'm beginning to think that being blind to this help in whatever situation is probably worst than the situation itself.

How can John not know this is the Jesus, the Solution of solutions? Well...nothing Jesus did...made the authorities see Him an uncommon Man.

As a young Pastor and leadership coach, this is my greatest realization.

Many keep searching...searching for what is not lost. Many keep praying...praying for what is before them.

Humility...breaks this cycle. It forces help in your life in the area of need you don't know yet...

..I think.

Leaders know everything. They just don't know it by themselves.

Great leaders leverage the strengths of others to know what they don't know...and in the process guide these people into discovering the power of these strengths.

Otherwise, you may be dealing with a dictator.

Errm…maybe I should buy a dog; a fierce one to chase me. Seriously.

(Bear with me, I’m going somewhere with this.)

You are your convenience. So am I.

Every barrier in your life…mine, is self-imposed. Blame your parents, blame your childhood but ultimately you...have left that wall unbroken.

You are born an enemy…to yourself. That’s how come babies need help…they think they don't...need. Enemies...to themselves.

We’re not adults. We’re big babies. So, if you’re breathing, you are…one of your enemies.

We stop 'us'. Excuses. We choose to be here because we're not hungry enough for ‘next’.

We tell ourselves we don't know how to run. We don’t learn how to. But the day a dog chases, we're faster than those on the tracks.

Truth is, we need a dog. We need a dog behind us in many areas of our lives. If we can find a way to get a dog...something...someone...behind our dreams, our barriers dissipate like the December salary.

Amazing what awaits when we allow help...to invite us…to stifle the impossibilities in our mind. Those who wish to walk on water will be invited. A few...very few take the step.

To become your friend, you need a dog...something...someone. Your biggest gift to you has and always will be help...outside of you, big baby. God made sure of that.

The day we recognize this truth, ‘we are woke’, not just alive.

We'll realize a lot of answers to our prayers are dogs...something...someone.

Keep faith alive.

The difference between a 2 year old and a 30 year old?

The first is alive. The other is alive...and awake. Unfortunately, even the 30 year old may not be fully awake. He who is awake is aware of who's running the show of their emotions.

Every gift from God is a need in your life.

The gift of salvation
The gift of righteousness
The gift of the Holy Spirit

He calls it a gift from Heaven.

On arrival on Earth, it becomes a need...we often don't know yet...that we need.

To give to the "needer" before he needs is proof of love in it's deepest form.

Call it Agape!
