Recently, our SHS students visited Academic City University College to experience what life in higher education looks like and explore different academic paths.
They were warmly received by the college’s staff and taken on a guided tour of the campus, where they explored modern lecture halls, laboratories, and the library. This gave them a real feel of the university environment and helped them imagine themselves as future tertiary students.
The highlight of the visit was the interactive sessions with professors from various departments, including Engineering, Business, Computer Science, and the Humanities. Students asked questions, engaged in discussions, and gained deeper knowledge about possible courses and career options. They were also introduced to extracurricular activities, student clubs, counseling, and career support services available to help them grow academically and personally.
Overall, the visit was highly successful and impactful. Students left feeling inspired, more informed about college life, and motivated to set higher academic and career goals, while teachers appreciated the excellent hospitality and organization shown by the host institution.
